Five Finger Death Punch, Mötley Crüe & Papa Roach Set For New Horror Film ‘The Retaliators’
Members of Five Finger Death Punch as well as Mötley Crüe‘s Tommy Lee and Papa Roach‘s Jacoby Shaddix are set to appear in an upcoming horror film dubbed ‘The Retaliators‘. Five Finger Death Punch wrapped up filming of their parts for the film earlier this month.
The film is but one of the various projects of the aforementioned bands’ label home’s expansion into other fields. While Five Finger Death Punch had originally signed a deal with Rise Records amid a legal dispute with their previous label, Prospect Park, the group have now since aligned with Eleven Seven Music.
Or at least they did, as that label have now made the move to consolidate their various imprints and burgeoning interests in film and TV under the singular new brand name of Better Noise Music. That overall label remains home to numerous hard rock outfits, including Papa Roach, HELLYEAH, Bad Wolves, Nothing More, From Ashes To New and more.
Speaking with Billboard.com, the newly rechristened multimedia company’s founder Allen Kovac said of the companies new vision:
“You can’t just rely on CD sales and streaming music anymore. Platforms like Amazon have TV, film, they sell TVs, they stream music, they sell merchandise. Why would we limit ourselves to just music?”
Kovac previously co-produced the Netflix Mötley Crüe biopic ‘The Dirt‘, which saw the band enjoy a 300% increase in streaming in the immediate months following its release.
