Oh, Sleeper Premiere New Song “The Island”

“The Island” is the latest song to see a release from Oh, Sleeper‘s new album “Bloodied/Unbowed” with a stream now available below. There’s a story at play for the track surrounding a sailor who led an apparent mutiny to an island that isn’t exactly hospitable to settlement. As for the sound of the song, the band’s vocalist Micah Kinard offered:

“I actually feel like ‘The Island‘ is the perfect blend of the old ‘When I Am God‘ Oh, Sleeper and our new matured sound. We’ve spent so long working on this album, writing, scrapping, rewriting, reworking every second of it, putting more thought and work into ‘Bloodied/Unbowed‘ than any album before it.”

The aforementioned album will be in stores on July 12th and the band have this headlining run booked around the release.
