Volbeat Set August Release For New Album, Debut “Leviathan” Music Video

Volbeat have announced that their seventh studio album “Rewind, Replay, Rebound” will hit stores on August 02nd via Republic Records. Arriving alongside word of the album’s release is the below music video for the band’s new single, “Leviathan“. The group tracked the outing with Jacob Hansen (The Black Dahlia Murder, Fleshgod Apocalypse) taking on the production duties alongside the band’s own frontman Michael Poulsen and guitarist Rob Caggiano.

Speaking of the effort, Poulsen commented:

“The whole point for us going into the studio, is because you still have something to prove — not just for the fans, but mostly for yourself. We would not be able to do this record if it wasn’t for the work we have done in the past. No matter how old the band gets or how many records we do, there is always going to be that signature sound.”

A number of guests will join the band on the record, including Clutch vocalist/guitarist Neil Fallon on “Die To Live” and Slayer/Exodus guitarist Gary Holt on “Cheapside Sloggers“. Other guests include pianist Raynier Jacob Jacildo and saxophonist Doug Corocran on “Die To Live” as well, plus guest turns from Mia Maja on several tracks and a reunion with the Harlem Gospel Choir.
