Hear System Of A Down’s Serj Tankian & Dethklok Members Team Up On “Godzilla” Cove
System Of A Down frontman Serj Tankian can be heard on composer Bear McCreary‘s take on Blue Öyster Cult‘s “Godzilla“. Dethklok‘s Brendon Small & Bryan Beller & Gene Hoglan (also of Testament, etc.) also lend their talents to track. The cover was recorded for the upcoming ‘Godzilla: King Of Monsters‘ film, which opens on May 31st.
An official soundtrack album will arrive a week earlier on May 24th and feature other compositions by McCreary for the film. Tankian himself commented of his involvement:

So my friend composer Bear McCreary calls last year and says “I have a crazy idea-would you sing on the cover of Blue Öyster Cult’s Godzilla for the film “Godzilla-King of the Monsters?”
Fuck yeah!!!!!! The track features a full orchestra, Japanese Taiko drums, a male chanting choir and the thrashing rock sounds of Dethklok (Brendon Small, Gene Hoglan, and Bryan Beller) from Metalocalypse…”
