Footage Of Deftones Playing “My Own Summer (Shove It)” Live For The First Time Surfaces Online
Live footage of the Deftones performing their song “My Own Summer (Shove It)” for the first time in a live set has surfaced online and can be found below. The footage is taken from a September 11th, 1997 show they played at The Press Club in Sacramento, CA and was recently unearthed by DeftonesLive.
Notably, the band technically first performed the song onstage earlier that night as part of a soundcheck, which you can check out below as well. Both videos were filmed by Walker Edmondson. The above-mentioned concert also saw the live debut of the band’s track “Be Quiet And Drive (Far Away)“, with that footage having been shared online earlier this month here.
The set took place just over a month prior to the release of the band’s platinum selling sophomore album “Around The Fur” from which “My Own Summer (Shove It)” served as the first single.
