Rob Zombie Announces New Hellbilly Deluxe Maze For Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights

via Kerrang!

If there’s one metal musician you want involved in the creation of a Halloween haunted maze, it’s probably Rob Zombie. Between his terrifying cinematic legacy and his bombastic monster-filled live show, it’s safe to say the dude knows how to make a crowd scream. So it’s a good thing that Rob has just announced that this year’s Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Orlando will feature a maze based off of his solo debut album, Hellbilly Deluxe.

Rob announced the maze today via his Instagram, with the caption, “Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Orlando @horrornightsorl is hosting a ScareZone based on Hellbilly Deluxe! This runs from September 6 through November 2. #HHN29 #robzombie#hellbillydeluxe #halloween

This is, of course, not Rob’s first rodeo when it comes to haunted attractions. Universal Studios already had a maze based off of his film House Of 1,000 Corpses, and he also created an attraction in Illinois called Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare.

That said, those mazes were either unique or based on a movie — what will a maze based on Zombie’s most famous album involve? Will it be steeped in the imagery of his music videos, like Living Dead Girl and Dragula, or will Rob put original spins on some of his classic tracks, like Superbeast, Demonoid Phenomenon, and Return Of The Phantom Stranger? Guess we’ll just wait and see, but the bottom line is, Halloween can’t come fast enough.

2019 is proving to be a big year for Rob Zombie. Between his massive tour with Marilyn Manson and Palaye Royale, his new movie 3 From Hell coming out, and toys being made in his image, the creeper certainly has his schedule packed to the gills. All this, and his new album, according to guitarist John 5, is “a monster.”
