SOMETHING STRANGE IS HAPPENING ON TOOL’S WEBSITE

The band is DEFINITELY up to SOMETHING! Screen shot and video grab below… Head to their website by clicking here and check out the crazy new visual for yourself… It’s better on DESKTOP BTW!

MORE VIA LOUDWIRE

Each tab on the homepage has its own visualizer — a kaleidoscopic projection of a skeletal figure and swirling, floating orbs while others tabs are a little less intense, still displaying an array of colors.
The art appears to be the work of Meats Meier, who has worked with both Tool and A Perfect Circle (most recently on Eat the Elephant), but what is suggests remains unclear. Of course, many fans are hoping that this is a sign of forward progress and that Tool will finally release the follow-up to 2006’s 10,000 Days.

Carey’s statement about the album’s mid-April release came at NAMM, where he said, “Yeah, it should be out mid-April,” when asked for an update on the new album. “That’s the plan anyway,” he added.
Maynard James Keenan also confirmed that he has finished tracknig his vocal parts for the record, tweeting, “Update- Final vocals tracked MONTHS ago. Then U.S.-UK-Euro run w #APC. If Tool all inst are tracked, long process of Mixing now. Meanwhile write/film/track w @puscifer for #puscifer2020 & troll the band FBs with wine posts. #funnyshit #whileyouwerewhiningiwasworking.”
Either this is one elaborate troll leading up to April Fool’s Day or this album really is coming out this year.
